For the first time Russia takes part in the competition of the short films "The Voice of Citizens", which will be held in the framework of the World Water Forum. The organizer of this major water event is the World Water Council. For 20 years, every three years, the event has been bringing together world politicians, ministers, scientists as well as representatives of civil society, youth and other stakeholders.
The Film of the Baikal International Ecological Water Forum "Let’s save Baikal together" was included in best 70 films and will be represented at the 8th World Water Forum on March 18-23 in Brazil. Selected films will be shown not only to the participants of the 8th World Water Forum: event organizers and French Development Agency will issue them on their online resources.
All works, selected for the festival "The Voice of Citizens", will be available for online voting after February 15. According to its results, six films will become winners. We hope that Russian film, which demonstrates not only the beauty of lake Baikal, but also shows an example of real progress in educating eco-generation, the formation of environmentally responsible young people and involvement citizens in the process of environmental protection, will get the "Oscar" of the World Water Forum.
