Lower Angara embankment

The Gallery of Contemporary Art of Viktor Bronstein is the largest private collection beyond the Urals. Its exhibition halls occupy an area of more than 1300 square meters. M, and the exposition consists of about 1500 works of art, including painting, sculpture and graphics.
Professor Viktor Bronshtein, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and an honorary patron of the city of Irkutsk, began to collect a collection of paintings in 1998. Its original purpose was to support Irkutsk artists, and by 2011, worthy works of art had already accumulated for the whole exhibition. In the same year the gallery of contemporary art was opened, and in 2015 it received its first award - the gold diploma of the festival "Architecture of Eastern Siberia" in the category "Interiors".
The exhibition of the contemporary art gallery of Victor Bronstein tells about the history of the Irkutsk pictorial school for the last 70 years. In general, realistic painting is represented here: landscapes with views of Baikal, Transbaikalian steppes and old streets of the city of Irkutsk. In addition, there is a rich collection of Buryat bronze sculptures, in particular, the work of a master with a world-wide name Dashi Namdakova.

Irkutsk datsan is a Buddhist temple complex, which is visited by tourists and local residents of various religions. The community of Buddhists in Irkutsk existed since the 19th century, but it occupied a tiny wooden house until 2006, when the construction of a new complex in the park in the Working Suburb began. Some of the buildings have already been erected and used, but most are still in the plans. A significant event was the consecration in 2011 of the stupa of the Lotus - a three-level pyramid with a square base. The Museum of the Decembrists
The Museum of the Decembrists is one of the most visited cultural attractions of Irkutsk. The Moscow Gate in Irkutsk
The Moscow Gate is a relatively new attraction of Irkutsk, although it has a historical background - the prototype stood literally a few meters from the modern structure. The square of the name of Kirov is located in the heart of Irkutsk at the intersection of Sukhbaatar and Lenin streets next to the building of the mayoralty. This is the main city square, as all significant events of the capital of the Irkutsk region pass here.
